Job Description

partner staffing is thequot;go to recruiter quot; for difficult, important, and time sensitive positions in Western Canada.We work with proactive clients who understand the importance of having exceptional staff.partner staffing on behalf of our Client, we are seeking a Junior/Intermediate Mechanical Revit Designer to contribute to the design and drafting of mechanical systems for commercial buildings. Developing designs including HVAC, plumbing and Fire. This role requires proficiency in Revit, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for developing high-quality, functional designs that align with project goals.RequirementsKey Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with engineers and project teams to develop mechanical designs, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems, for commercial and mixed-use buildings.
  • Create and modify detailed 3D Revit models and 2D drawings based on engineering designs and project specifications.
  • Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and best practices.
  • Coordinate designs with architectural, structural, and electrical disciplines to identify and resolve potential clashes or conflicts.
  • Perform quantity take-offs and assist in preparing schedules and material specifications.
  • Support project documentation, including maintaining drawing records and adhering to project delivery timelines.
  • Participate in design reviews, team meetings, and site visits as required.
Qualifications:
  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Drafting Technology, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in mechanical design, focusing on commercial building systems.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit is essential; experience with AutoCAD is an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems in commercial applications
  • Familiarity with Canadian building codes and standards.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize deadlines effectively.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with energy modeling software or sustainability-focused projects is an asset.
  • Familiarity with mechanical system design in mixed-use or high-rise buildings.
  • LEED certification or commitment to sustainable design principles is a plus.
