We have the following opportunity for an individual who enjoys a team oriented work environment.PurposeBased at the Frontier location, this position reports to the Foreman and Lead Hand of the Structural Department and is responsible for keeping the Structural work area clean and orderly, assisting the tradesmen, and other labouring duties as may be assigned. This position may lead to an Apprenticeship for the right candidate.ResponsibilitiesYour responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:Follow written and oral instructions from the Foreman/Lead HandClean, organize, and sweep the work area and yard as requiredAssist tradesmen as requiredMove parts and materials in a safe and competent mannerOperate equipment in a safe and competent mannerUse of basic hand tools and power toolsAssist in other areas of shop as required and assigned by Foreman/Lead HandParticipate in Compass Safety Program including accident investigations and worksite inspectionsWear PPE and observe health & safety polices and procedures at all timesEducation, Skills, and ExperienceInterest and ability to move into an apprenticeship positionStrong attention to safe work proceduresFork lift driving and crane operationPhysically able to stand for long periods of timeAbility to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basisAble to work in a noisy, smoky, dusty shop environment with varying temperaturesDuties are subject to change at any time according to the needs of the location or company.
