Job Description

Looking for a landscaping position that offers year-round income without shoveling snow. Tyvan Landscaping is looking for an experienced landscaper to join our growing team. Focusing on residential landscaping & Irrigation projects Tyvan Landscapes & Irrigation delivers high-quality projects to residential clients. During the winter months move indoors and work with our renovation division in a general labour role.Compensation

  • SUMMER: $23-30/HR + Overtime after 44HR
  • WINTER: $20/HR rate, during offseason working under our renovation division as general labour.
  • 40HR/week, 8-5PM
  • Health Benefits ( Life insurance, Dental, Optical ) after 3 months
  • Vacation Pay
Work Setting / Location
  • Residential projects in Calgary
Working Conditions / physical Capabilities
  • Regularly Lifting / Handling Heavy Loads up to 75LB
  • Combination of Sitting, Standing, Walking Bending, Crouching, Kneeling
  • Noisy & Dusty environments
  • Indoor & Outdoor
Specific Skills Required
  • Stonework: Paving stone Patios, Block Retaining walls
  • Woodwork: Experience Decks, Fences
  • Irrigation: System Maintenance & Installation
  • Grading, Sod, Mulch & Rocks
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment ( Ditch witch, Bobcat Pipe Puller )
  • Ability to read plans & communicate onsite discrepancies
  • Ability to interact with clients in a professional and polite manner
  • Full understanding of standard landscaping practices and techniques
Day To Day Duties
  • Coordination of materials & equipment necessary to complete projects
  • Confirmation & Calculation of material quantities
  • Hands-on work with the landscaping crew
  • Managing & training 2-3 employees
Experience
  • 5+ Years in the landscaping industry with a focus on landscaping construction
  • 2+ Years of experience installing & maintaining irrigation systems
Transportation
  • Must have your own reliable vehicle
Tools Required
  • Steel Toe Safety Boots, Hardhat, High vis
Personal Suitability
  • Punctual & Reliable
  • No tolerance for Drugs/Alcohol
  • Clean Drivers Abstract
  • No Criminal Record
