Over the past few years, the University has expanded its alumni engagement efforts and is committed to maintaining this momentum by engaging alumni with the university and each other in high-value activities.About the RoleYou are an experienced marketing or communications professional who is looking for the opportunity to build and own a comprehensive content strategy aimed at growing audience engagement and providing high-value, high-quality experiences across all Alumni Relations-owned channels.Reporting to the Director of Alumni Relations and working in a small but growing team, you will use your obsession with data and market research to develop a deep understanding of your audience and design and implement a high-level digital content strategy that meets alumni needs and supports the department’s business objectives.Using a content marketing approach, you will draw on the expertise of a central marketing and communications team, your fellow team-mates and user-generated content to plan campaigns and produce digital content in a range of formats including written, visual/photography, video, and audio. You will lead the team’s editorial planning and writing process and provide training to your colleagues to support the development of their written communication skills. Providing daily oversight on Alumni Relations social media, website, and email channels, you uphold brand voice and consistency and work closely with the central marketing and communications team to support the coordination of issues management and crisis communications.You are an exceptional writer, copy editor and high-level strategic thinker who is curious about the world and constantly learning about trending topics, current issues, and the wide variety of interests of our diverse alumni community.
