Job Description

We are recruiting for a Legal Document Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and modifying legal documentation, spreadsheets and presentation materials, as well as, troubleshooting documents and providing overflow administrative support to all firm members.Major Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Assists various legal professionals, legal assistants and administrative staff as required to provide support on technically challenging documentation, and general overflow work including the creation and modification of legal documents, spreadsheets, presentation materials and other documentation.
  • Formats and converts documents in accordance with established Firm standards.
  • Provides technological support / troubleshooting assistance as required for legal professionals and legal assistants to resolve issues with corrupt documents, respond to ‘how to’ questions, and provide document support. This requires attaining and maintaining expert knowledge of various applications.
  • Provides services relating to digital imaging which includes requests for manipulating digital pictures, burning files to CD, compressing electronic files, and scanning.
  • Provides assistant support to clients and visiting LPs.
  • Assists other offices with troubleshooting and document production as required.
Position RequirementsQualifications:
  • Legal Assistant program certificate plus at least 5 to 7 years of experience in a professional, service-oriented office environment or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Strong technical skills (Adobe Pro & MS Office – Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
  • Customer service oriented with a positive attitude
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and well-developed proof-reading skills
  • Organizational and time-management skills in order to multi-task
  • Ability to learn, understand, and adhere to internal office procedures
