Assists in ensuring building systems and equipment are in safe working condition by performing preventive maintenance operations including preventive maintenance checks, building inspections, repairs, janitorial duties and necessary grounds maintenance. Works in partnership to improve the performance of individuals, teams and the organization in providing improved customer service for residents, guests, and staff.QUALIFICATIONS:Brings a caring, compassionate and empathetic approach.Minimum of two years experience in a related position to obtain sufficient practical experience to satisfactorily perform the responsibilities of the position.Preference will be given to applicants with carpentry, electrical or plumbing knowledge, and a Power Engineering Fifth Class certificate.Ability to read, write and comprehend the English language.Mentally and physically able to perform duties as outlined.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and to complete assignments in a timely manner.Demonstrates concern and interest in providing a safe and attractive environment for facility customers, i.e., residents, guests, and staffDemonstrates effective communication, problem solving and organizational skillsAbility to function as an effective team member with other Staff, Residents, Families and the PublicPersonal transportation is required.Available for emergency call-back when necessary.Intercare’s Values: Respect | Compassion | Commitment | Service | EthicsFor more information, visit https://www.intercarealberta.com/Required SkillsRequired ExperienceQuick Apply
