Job Description

Company ProfileMinto Metals, a producing underground copper mine has exciting opportunities to become part of our team and live by our Company values – Be Safe, Be Honest, Be Responsible, Be Respectful and Be Great!PositionWe are seeking a full-time Manager, Supply Chain for our Calgary based office working Monday to Friday with a mandatory travel to site 1 week per month. Travel and accommodation will be provided as per the Company travel policy.The Ideal CandidateYou will have:

  • Bachelors degree in business administration, supply chain management, or similar or an SCMP designation. Consideration will be given to candidates that demonstrate a suitable blend of relevant education and experience
  • 12+ years supply chain experience preferably in a mining environment with extensive experience in purchasing, warehousing, supervising and MRP systems
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to evaluate and positively influence performance
  • Strong organizational, analytical, communication and networking skills required
  • Team attitude, eager to cooperate with other with exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Ability to change direction and handle multiple responsibilities and tasks on a regular basis
  • Ability to positively motivate individuals and teams to meet or exceed expectations
  • Competent with computer software such as Microsoft Office products and SAGE 300 would be an asset
Responsibilities
  • Strategically guide the department - analyze industry trends and provide direction for cost savings, ensure budget targets are achieved, develop strategic relationships with suppliers and departments
  • Provide safety leadership to ensure employees work safely
  • Support the VP, ESG on economic development opportunities with our Selkirk First Nation partners
  • Establish department goals, objectives and KPIs to provide world-class supply chain performance
  • Proactively lead and develop the supply chain team to improve processes and procedures
  • Identify improvements in SAGE functionality to increase efficiencies
  • Deliver continuous improvement in supplier delivery, quality, and cost
  • Ensure warehousing and inventory control is managed effectively and efficiently - rationalize inventory value, ensure accuracy of inventory data, materials are received promptly and accurately
  • Mentor and provide leadership to the Supply Chain Supervisor, Procurement in Calgary and the Warehouse team in both Whitehorse and site
  • Other duties as assigned.
