Typical project types include subdivisions, roads, bridges, high-rise buildings, commercial buildings, and airports.MLE is looking for field technicians to perform materials testing starting immediately. The work is primarily located within Calgary and surrounding communities.Successful applicants will be involved in field testing of civil construction materials which may include soils, granular materials, concrete, and asphalt. They will be provided with laboratory and field training as required and will get hands-on experience on real construction sites. In addition to material properties and specific test methods, applicants will learn about construction equipment, sequencing, and drawings.Some specific field tests that will be performed include compaction testing of soils, concrete testing; casting cylinders, slump & air measurements, asphalt testing; Marshall analysis, pavement coring, onsite sampling.
