Position OverviewThe Department of Calgary Centre for Clinical Research in the Cumming School of Medicine invites applications for a Media and Data Coordinator. This Full-time Fixed Term position is for approximately 24 months (based on length of grant funding), with the possibility of extension.Reporting to the Director, Clinical, Health Services and Population Health.Incumbent may face moderate to high stress periods throughout the year, particularly during peak work times. The impact of error is high as decisions made will impact research funding and the reputation of the Cumming School of Medicine and the University of Calgary.Position DescriptionSummary of Key Responsibilities (job functions include but are not limited to):Media ActivitiesAdvising on web content and maintaining webpages for CCCR, HMRC and Clinical Trials @ UCSetting up and maintaining social media accountsOversees layout, appearance and contentStrategically plans, create and maintainsBeing in charge of composing communication and posting communication to the clinical research communityPlanning and coordinating the delivery of online eventsDeveloping online training modules based on provided training content using training softwareLeading and organizing the Lunch and Learn series for clinical researchers and staffPrepare and design regular communication products such as meeting summaries, agendas, bulletins and newslettersEdits and writes articles, some of which may be rejected or returned to the writer for revision; ensures appropriate reviews and approvalsWrites compelling headlines and captionsSystem and Data ActivitiesTraining and acting as a super user for the Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS)Training and acting as a super user for the ConnectCare Electronic Medical Record system (EPIC system)Setting up study budgets in the CTMSSetting up study calendars in the CTMSCreating SQL reports for the CTMSCoordinate all aspects of data collection and managementDocument the data collection process, how data is processed and where/how the data is storedCompiling annual reportsQualifications / Requirements:Bachelor Degree requiredDegree or Certificate in Graphic Design, New Media, Communications, Marketing or Data Analytics preferredMinimum 3 to 5 years of related work experience in an academic environment or related environmentAdvanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) requiredAdvanced Website skills (Drupal8)Advance skills using SharePoint and other databasesKnowledge of Social MediaExcellent verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrated excellence in writing, editing, and use of social mediaExcellent interpersonal and organizational skillsExcellent attention to detailCopy-editing experience seen as an assetAble to work well under pressure and with tight deadlines, and adept at handling simultaneous prioritiesAbility to problem solve in complex situationsKnowledge of the University of Calgary processes and procedures is desirableApplication Deadline: May 26, 2021We would like to thank all applicants in advance for submitting their resumes.
