Pureform Radiology offers Ultrasound, Mammography, Pain Management, Bone Densitometry, Fluoroscopy, X-Ray and Pediatric imaging services across our four community Calgary and Airdrie clinics.What We WantPureform Radiology is seeking Part-time and Full-time Medical Office Assistants (MOA) to join our team at our Head Office and various Calgary & area clinics. We are looking for a dedicated and proactive MOA who wants to be a part of something bigger, takes the initiative on their own and who shares our approach to exceptional patient care.What You Need to KnowCompensation$18.50 per hourSchedule8-40 hours per weekWeekdays with some weekends required.Required QualificationsRequired Education: A high school diploma.Preferred Education: Medical Office Administration CertificatePreferred Experience: At least one year of relevant experience in a healthcare facility such as record keeping, direct patient contact, answering phones, working with the public. Experience with medical terminology.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to read, comprehend, and follow complex instructions. Ability to work in a fast paced environment amid interruptions. Good written and oral communication skills. Ability to think critically. Ability to work with persons from a variety of cultural, economic, and educational backgrounds.ResponsibilitiesFront Desk ReceptionistPerforms clinic reception duties, including greeting patients both scheduled and walk-in appointments, answers, screens, and routes telephone inquiries, scheduling call in and out patient clinic appointments in accordance with clinic guidelines; opens and distributes mail; transmit correspondence and medical records by mail, email, or fax. Checks in patients, assembles and prepares patient information forms and assists with the completion of these forms. Provides excellent customer service. Triage patient inquiries to the appropriate person.Record ManagementAssists in the creation and/or maintenance of files and records for the clinic such as patient files, patient appointment schedules, etc. Performs data entry entering patient information into the computerized patient care systems. Update electronic medical record system as appropriate information as needed. Ensures patient files and records are accurate and up to date.AdministrativeMaintains clean waiting room and patient room area conditions. Performs office maintenance duties based on clinic guidelines. Orders clerical supplies. Operates office equipment such as copiers, computers, fax machines. Scans documents, burn discs, and prepare patient files for other clinics.CommunicationDelivers both written and verbal professional communications to patients, technicians, and physicians.
