This will include working with the I.T. department to ensure the integrity and configuration of all systems used by Purchasing, Merchandise & Financial Planning and Allocations & Replenishment departments. Furthermore, the role will play a central part in the on-going process improvement of these applications where business procedures are supported by systemically.This role will be a mix of remote and in-office work, will require extended periods of sustained focus and sometimes requires on-call support outside of regular business hours.What you’ll doSystems Management & Maintenance:Creates and documents calculations in solution (s) to ensure optimal user forecastAssures continuity of business plans and calculationsManages user requirements and requests, utilizing established upon processes and standards. AttendAttends bi-weekly meetings with business and I.T. representatives to gather feedback and business requirements working with I.T. to solution and deliverOversees integrity of Purchasing, Planning, Allocation and Replenishment systems’ parameters (e.g. attribute maintenance)Enables effective and comprehensive system administration related communication throughout the Planning, Purchasing, Allocation and Replenishment organizationsProcess Improvement:Plays key role in interface with software provider on system enhancements (SIG member); and business-use supportProvides updates on solution changes/enhancementsManages business requirements documents for any enhancements and changes to solutionProvides business guidance to IT in solution enhancements and issuesUnderstands and introduces new versions of solution as approved by business managementWorks with the Manager of Capability &SBU Training Manager to identify and provide training enhancements on solution and processUpdates business processes and solutions to achieve leading practice acceptanceNotifies business partners‘pods’ of any enhancements to the business solutionWorks with the appropriate business units on any training materials and programs around any system changes or other business impacting solutionsWorks with appropriate business partners on any system changes and improvements and other business impacting solutionsCalendar Management:Creates, manages, and maintains Corporate Planning Calendar which incorporates relevant activities across and within departments including: Merchandise planning; Assortment planning (including vendor planning); Cycle times for delivery of product; Promotions, markdowns and clearance actions; Finance and Audit calendars; Store operations (for events and other activities); DC operationsValidates calendar to ensure consistency and integration throughout business processesIdentifies and escalates calendar compliance issuesDevelop reports and recaps to define successEvaluates calendar efficacy for further refinement where requiredWhat you bringRequires in-depth knowledge of legacy merchandising systems (PMM, EP, AP, JDA Demand & Fulfill, Arthur Allocation and COGNOS – or industry equivalents) and purchasingpurvhasing, merchandise planning, and allocation business processesDetailed knowledge of JDA planning suite of software at the functional administrator levelUnderstanding of systems and databases functionalityHas a strong working knowledge of key calendar events and activities with an understanding of interdependencies between departmentsDetail oriented and strong organizational skillsStrong Communication skills – both written and verbalCan effectively communicate ideas and able to train others on system useMaintains strong relationships with a wide group of business users and IT resources, effectively reconciling business requirements and IT support.Develops relationships with system users and is seen as a key resource and subject matter expert on both business processes and system use supporting users’ execution of their work processes and achieving their objectives.Builds Trust and Credibility by consistently adhering to the organization’s business principles and values.
