SIS has provided comprehensive end-to-end brokerage services to financial clients for more than 45 years. Our robust technology solutions are driven by proven financial expertise and are supported by a team of dedicated professionals who collaborate with clients across Canada.We are looking to hire a MQ Administrator supporting the infrastructure and providing consulting to multiple application development teams. This position requires rotational 24x7 on-call support.This position reports to the Manager, SIS. The candidate can be from anywhere in Canada and able to work remotely, working mainly in Eastern Time Zone.Responsibilities

• Take leadership role in problem analysis and resolution while striving to maintain high availability targets.
• Act as liaison to development projects, collecting clear technical requirements and ensuring timely delivery of infrastructure services.
• Able to integrate and work effectively with teams as required by assignments. -
• Analyze incidents and problems via ServiceNow and work on a resolution.
• Take steps to implement the solution by coordinating with required resources.
• Attend project meetings, provide technical consulting and contribute to the documentation of infrastructure requirements.
• Provide support to project testing and deployment efforts in a multi sysplex environment
• Assist projects with MQ problem determination - Assist development teams in managing data across multiple environments
• Provide 7x24 on-call support through an on-call rotation

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Proven independent and direct capability at building, configuring, and upgrading MQ in a production environment
• Proficient with associated product installations, applying maintenance, customizing products, configuring products
• Proven problem determination skills demonstrating independence and experience in troubleshooting, researching, and resolving complex issues, showing strong ability to utilize system diagnostics to arrive at problem solutions
• Knowledge/Experience with z/OS operating system, AIX, and Linux
• Must have MQ Series working knowledge
• JCL, TSO, SDSF, Omegamon, Rexx, System Utilities, SORT, IDCAMS, ITOM, MQ Utilities
• MQ API knowledge
• Certificate setup for MQ encryption
• CEDF working knowledge
• IBM Debug Tool for z/OS is considered an asset
• Working knowledge of MQ dump and trace
• Functional knowledge of IPCS, Assembler and/or PL/I is considered an asset
