Strathcona is presently seeking a full time Senior Network and Security Analyst to join our team. Reporting to the Team Lead, Infrastructure Services, this position will be responsible for Strathcona’s IT Infrastructure performance, availability and security. This position provides expert advice to the business and team, as well as provides tier 2 support to the service desk and client support. Other responsibilities include working with IS and business team members to deliver IS projects, working with technical consultants identify and resolve system issues, and collaborating with business colleagues how to leverage technology to improve efficiency.You enjoy working with a broad set of technologies, and looks for innovative ways to bring their experience to solve problems inside and outside the IS Team. You thrive working in a small team where you can influence IS decisions, see the business impact of your efforts, and enjoy working directly with staff in the office and the field.The successful candidate will:Ensure availability and capacity management for the Strathcona IT InfrastructurePerform scheduled and repeatable processes such as system pro-active monitoring and event log management, performance analysis, configuration, and installation, maintenance, planning and overall design of Strathcona’s IT InfrastructureManage the configuration and maintenance of backup and storage/recovery processes, and update related procedures and the IT Backup/Recovery PlanProvide technical recommendations for tools, procedures, network enhancements and hardware to the Team Lead, Infrastructure Services.Perform security risk assessment, analysis, planning, testing, and alerting and reporting for the Strathcona IT InfrastructureEnsure that services are delivered with appropriate information technology technical and policy safeguardsImplement and monitor appropriate IT security tools, processes and technologiesProvide technical expertise to team members, and clientsQualifications Include:Skills and Knowledge:Minimum 7 years’ experience in a network administrative role, ideally using scripting and automationAdvanced knowledge of infrastructure design, management, and maintenance principles and standardsExpert knowledge of VMWare, Cisco, and the Microsoft Server platformKnowledge of Oil & Gas software products an assetSecurity certification is an assetKnowledge of cloud technology (AWS, Azure) is an assetEducation:IT related Diploma or Degree from a recognized Post-Secondary InstitutionOther Details:Occasional travel may be required
