Job Description

Mobile Instrument Service & Repair (MISR) is a Canadian company that has been in businesssince 1982. A division of Pacific Surgical, MISR is Canada’s largest surgical instrument repaircompany. MISR is committed to being comprehensive partner to Canadian hospitals for surgicalinstrument repair and preventative maintenance. We are seeking an On-Site (Mobile) RepairTechnician for immediate employment in Calgary, AB.The On-Site Repair Technicians report to the General Manager. The role requires the followingskills/experience:

  • Ability to self-motivate; work from a home office/mobile repair lab (repair van) with some
requirements to be present at Keir Surgical’s SE Calgary office (Douglasdale)
  • Comfort driving a large vehicle in all seasons over long distances and in a city
environment
  • Willingness to travel and as required be away from home for extended periods
  • Capability to work with ones hands/mechanical know how
  • Capability to work with machinery; ability to follow instructions and safety protocols
  • Positive attitude, presentable to clients, and desire to provide top customer service
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage communications with customers and
management
  • Reasonable computer skills to create work orders and other business documents
  • Good driving record; readiness to be accountable for service and maintenance of a mobile
repair lab
  • Represent MISR and Pacific Surgical ethically at all times
In the case of an applicant without experience repairing surgical instruments, MISR will providetraining at our Oshawa-based national repair centre and also in the mobile repair lab. Careerprogress will be encouraged as skills are proven over time.Remuneration for this position will be:
  • Competitive base salary
  • Quarterly bonus based on total repairs completed On-Site as well as “take-away” repairs
sent back to the National Repair Centre for completion
  • Reimbursement will be provided for business travel and other approved expenses.
