Job Description

At drug + bean pharmacy we strive for quality service with a warm and welcoming environment. Join our dynamic team team today at our Killarney location!Responsibilities:

  • Provide exemplary customer service that meets standards.
  • Billing prescriptions through pharmacy software ensuring all required documentation is adequate and appropriate including (but not limited to) accounts receivables, dosage and dosing intervals, third party billing restrictions, copayment management, coordination of benefits.
  • Understanding, recognizing, resolving third party billing issues.
  • Adherence to all relevant guidelines including the established Standard Operating Procedures and all applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Accurately preparing medications to ensure arrival to the appropriate destination on time Inventory management and reconciliation.
  • Patient follow-up calls (ensuring that all medical questions are referred to a pharmacist).
  • Monitoring of site temperatures when available and reporting any variances directly to the operations manager.
  • Effectively communicate with both external and internal contacts.
  • Developing and maintaining professional relationships with health care professionals, reimbursement coordinators, infusion coordinators, provincial ministries of health and private payers.
  • Accurate data entry into various systems.
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervising pharmacist
Competencies:
  • Experience within the setting of retail pharmacy practice in the province of Alberta including an understanding of third party billing issues is an asset.
