Job Description

Envious Events Inc. is made up of fabulous women who aim to inspire everyone to celebrate every day to the fullest! From full-service event planning, bartending services, photography and more, we help people celebrate all of lifes wonderful moments.We are looking for experienced freelance and contract Photographers who want to:

  • fill their calendar
  • build their portfolio
  • network within their community
  • get paid $50-75/hour
And the BONUS is:
  • Envious Events will do all the editing and marketing for you!
  • We provide training for all the systems and processes we expect of you!
You must provide/have:
  • Portfolio gallery ***Applications without portfolio links will not be considered.**
  • You must have your own camera equipment. See camera requirements below
Photo Camera Body:
  • Full frame DSLR or mirrorless
  • Examples: Nikon D850 D750, Canon 5D, 6D Sony A9, A7R, A7
  • Lenses:
  • Fast prime lens 1.2-1.8 for low light (example 50mm sigma art)
  • Zoom lens with wide range (Example 24-70mm and 70-200mm)
  • Basic off camera lighting knowledge & equipment (1-2 speedlights with trigger and stand is sufficient)

JOB SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
  • Fully vaccinated
  • Capacity to work long shifts- up to 13 hours, not including travel
  • Providing independent troubleshooting in case of equipment failure, adverse weather conditions, and other circumstances.
  • Competition vs. teamwork- we often work in pairs. We must be able to complement each others work instead of competing over the best shots.

INTERVIEW & HIRING PROCESSThe hiring process will be conducted in four rounds.Round 1: Application:You are required to submit a cover letter, resume and professional portfolio of your work.In your cover letter if you can please tell us a little bit about yourself and why you are unique.Provide a link to your online portfolio for us to review.Each application will be reviewed by the Envious Events team and a selection of the applicants will be chosen to move on to the next round.Round 2: Phone InterviewFor the phone interview, only the successful candidates will be contacted.The phone interview will be mostly behavioral and lets us get to know you a little better!We will also go over your photography background.Round 3: Face to Face interviewThis round will be a face-to-face interview conducted at our studio with Candisse McCormick the founder of Envious Events, and Alicia Wopereis, our Head Photographer.Round 4: Field TestOnce you have completed the other rounds successfully there will be a period of time where you will shadow Alicia, at a few different shoots, ensuring that you know how to capture the images required to fit with our brand.Job Types: Part-time, FreelanceSalary: $50.00-$75.00 per hourAdditional pay:
