Our Commercial Marketing Analytics team is actively seeking a motivated Portfolio Optimization Specialilst who will work collaboratively with the trading desks to provide analysis that will help inform trade strategies and identify market trends. This integral team member will convey their analysis through tangible reports and communicate their recommendations directly to the commercial and trading teams.What you’ll do

  • Engage in the implementation of the new gross margin at risk software (Lacima)
  • Consult and collaborate with business decision makers to understand their data needs
  • Utilize complex analytical software to calculate the risk of PS&CM trading activities
  • Evaluate business and finance records and determine the level of risk
  • Propose and create reports and proactively anticipate the losses of certain trading decisions (GMaR and CFaR)
  • Collaborate with the Commodity desks to develop hedging strategies by analyzing position reports and forward curve dynamics
  • Oversee the development of stress and shock scenarios and quantify their impact on the portfolio
  • Prepare and organize inputs such as market index prices, forward curves and volatility parameters
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others in the organization including Risk, Trading, IT, and Finance personnel
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics, Operations Research
  • Minimum 8 years of related experience
  • Advanced computer proficiencies including SQL, Java, Python, R, VBA, Endur, Excel, AWS, Power BI
  • Experience with Data Lakes, Data Mining, Linear Regression, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence
  • Energy, Commodity and Financial Market Expertise
  • Experience in process automation and data centralization
