Job Description

Position DescriptionArea: Perinatal EpidemiologyDuration: 1 year with the possibility of renewalStart Date: January 1, 2022Salary: $60,000 CAD per year plus Plan C Health benefitsThe Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in the Cumming School of Medicine at the University of Calgary is accepting applications for a Postdoctoral Scholar in Maternal and Child Health.The Postdoctoral associate with contribute to Dr. Amy Metcalfe’s federally-funded research program on perinatal epidemiology. The successful applicant will work on multiple projects examining health service utilization and health care outcomes for pregnant persons and their children. Time will also be provided for the postdoctoral scholar to continue to build and advance their own program of research. The successful scholar will be strongly encouraged to apply for provincial/national awards.Qualifications:Applicants must hold a PhD* in epidemiology, health services research or a related discipline by the time of the position start dateStrong expertise with quantitative data analysis is requiredDemonstrated capacity to work effectively in a collaborative environmentExcellent written and oral communication skills
