Responsibilities:

• Create architecture and solution designs with the latest technologies in the areas of:
• Advanced Networking
• Wired, Wireless solutions
• Cloud Server Architecture
• SaaS, IaaS (Azure, AWS)
• Virtualization/ Hyperconvergence
• Nutanix, VMware, Hyper-V
• Modern Workplace
• Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams
• Storage and Backup
• On-site and Cloud storage platform (i.e. Datto, Veaam)
• Security & overall IT infrastructure

• Work collaboratively with the pre-sales team to improve architectural understanding and results
• Interact with customer leadership to identify technology opportunities
• Work with Business Analysts to solidify technology requirements
• Present design solutions to customer business leaders and achieve solution ‘buy-in’
• Creation of Statements of Work related to designed solutions
• Mentor technical team members on solutions architecture and design
• Work closely with Business Development and Technical team to drive innovative client solutions
• Maintain, communicate, and promote SysGen’s technology stack
• Perform Quality Assurance on Pre-Sales team architecture

Requirements:

• 3+ years IT infrastructure design / architecture experience (presales)
• Hands-on experience in the following technologies:
• Windows 2008, 2012, 2016, 2019
• Citrix
• Linux
• MS Exchange
• Virtualization solutions (VMware, Hyper-V, Azure, AWS)
• Microsoft 365
• Cisco

• Translate customer requirements into architectural plans
• Depth of understanding in networking protocols and related technologies including layer 3 switches and VLANs
• Experience configuring and managing Firewalls (SonicWALL, CISCO, Juniper)
• Familiar or knowledgeable in architectural frameworks and methodologies
• Maintain current expertise on infrastructure technologies
• Modern Workplace implementation experience an asset
• Strong hardware skills; building, diagnosing, and upgrading enterprise servers and networks
• Deliver and mentor on the creation of logical and physical architectures
• Degree or Diploma in Computer Science or Information Technology
