It also ensures compliance with University policies, public sector legislative requirements, competitive bidding laws and trade agreements.About the RoleMount Royal University is seeking a Procurement Business Specialist to join our Procurement Services Group, located at our Lincoln Park Campus.Reporting to the Manager of Procurement Services, the Procurement Business Specialist provides procurement services for a wide variety of capital equipment, goods and services and construction services as required by the University. The Procurement Business Specialist is the primary contact for questions relating to purchase orders and procurement methods from departments within the University and external Suppliers. The incumbent must be knowledgeable about the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA), the New West Partnership Agreement (NWPA), MRU’s Institutional Policies, NAFTA, F.O.I.P. and Competitive Bidding Law.Responsibilities
