Job Description

Procurement Buyer - Industrial Climate Solutions (ICS)Do you enjoy being part of a successful teamAre you passionate about making an impactJoin our Team!Industrial Climate Solutions Inc is commercializing, products based on a unique pulsing, or regenerative, froth contactor. Positioned to transform the “wet front-end” of CO2 capture processes, and supporting a wide range of potential industrial applications, this downward coflow equipment uses transformational principles that are new to industrial process engineeringThe Procurement Buyer is responsible for sourcing for required goods as well as negotiating with providers according to specific policies. In charge of achieving the best contractual conditions while also ensuring internal customer satisfaction. Understands purchasing concepts, methods, procedures, and approaches. Experience in purchasing an asset.As a Procurement Buyer, you will be responsible for:

  • Buying process for a given set of goods
  • Applying sourcing policy, interface between supplier and entity with respect to specifications and budgets.
  • Applying sourcing policy, interface between supplier and entity with respect to specifications and budgets.
  • Achieving the best contractual conditions while also ensuring internal customer satisfaction
  • Acquiring internal Purchase Requisitions (PR) and ensuring all required approvals are completed.
  • Obtaining Purchase Order (PO) and following procurement process for all orders placed.
  • Managing relationships with suppliers for PO and payment execution.
  • Providing support on procurement related activities, including tracking of payments and deliveries.
  • Inputting and verifying the correctness of data.
  • Preparing and maintaining routine data files and reports in compliance with established policies.
  • Managing problems and schedule changes. Update tools/system of record. Detects and signals flaws in approaches, methods, procedures and processes and suggests improvements.
  • Handling communication with direct colleagues and the business about data gathering and analysis.
  • Maintaining up to date Inventory information where procurement is involved.
  • Assisting with special projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma from an accredited university or college, or high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of Sourcing/Procurement experience.
  • 3 years of proven experience including negotiation while working in Purchasing, Sourcing or Procurement, preferably in a Warehouse, Lab or similar environment.
  • Skilled communicator whether verbal or written. Fluent in English
  • Intermediate use of MS Office, plus ability to learn and adapt to purchasing software as required.
