Job Description

Helcim is looking for a Product Manager to join our Product team. The ideal candidate is somebody who can hit the ground running and immediately build strong relationships, understand our product and customers, effectively coordinate between stakeholders, and be able to answer the question: “what should we work on next”. Working alongside the Merchant Tools team, you would be involved in shaping the direction of our merchant platform and have the opportunity to work directly with the executive leadership team.You Will:

  • Understand market requirements, and establish feature / function value and prioritizing those accordingly.
  • Own the short to medium term roadmap by transforming the high-level vision for the product into detailed requirements.
  • Influence product direction, and establish practices to understand and address the needs of our merchants.
  • Facilitate feedback from our merchants and internal stakeholders to identify and document improvements and fixes that will deliver the most value.
  • Maintain and effectively prioritize items in the product backlog.
  • Influence the product roadmap by working directly with the executive leadership team.
  • Identify new growth opportunities through quantitative research, feedback, and studies.
  • Serve as a liaison between the development team and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Aid in the promotion, marketing and sales of products.
You might be a good fit if you:
  • Have 1+ years of relevant product management experience on a SaaS product, ideally in the ecommerce or payments space.
  • Are able to drive cross-functional product alignment by influencing without authority.
  • Are excited about building better and more affordable tools for merchants across a diverse range of industries.
  • Can build really strong relationships and are able to shine in conversations with customers, cross-functional colleagues, and while engaging a diverse audience.
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Are empathetic and are able to understand the experiences of our merchants.
  • Have been a part of at least one entire software cycle of a new product or major feature.
  • Have experience using issue tracking tools such as Jira, GitLab, or ClickUp. Experience with GitLab in particular is a big plus, but not required.
  • Have experience in a start-up/growth environment and are excited by the prospect of disproportionately impacting direction and processes.
  • Are obsessed with the details.
  • Have run a small business before.
