Your Opportunity:The Practice Supports team within the Provincial Addiction and Mental Health Programs and Services portfolio seeks a new member to join its innovative team. Reporting to the Practice Supports Manager, the Program Consultant II (PCII) uses project and change management methodologies to lead, develop, implement and sustain Addiction and Mental Health (AMH) recovery-oriented practice support initiatives. Current initiatives include The Alberta Opioid Dependence Treatment (ODT) Virtual Training Program, the Alberta Addiction Mental Health Education Sessions (AAES), the Provincial Addiction Mental Health Curricula & Experiential Skill (PACES) Learning Pathway, the Suicide Prevention, Risk Assessment, and Management (SPRAM)Training Initiative, and Trauma-Focused Training Initiatives. The successful candidate will have an extensive knowledge base in various instructional design methodologies, adult learning principles, and expertise in using eLearning software (Articulate 360). Proficiency in literature review, content development and curriculum design and delivery is required. Developing collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders is a key area of responsibility. This position is provincial in scope, and occasional travel may be required. Key stakeholders include subject matter and clinical experts in addiction and mental health, clinical educators, and various interdisciplinary team members.Description:As a Program Consultant II, you will have an expert understanding and knowledge of addiction and mental health issues and act as a resource providing advanced mentorship and support to a wide array of stakeholders who lead complex projects related to enhancing an integrated addiction and mental health service delivery system. You will provide consultation, facilitation, leadership and coordination to projects, strategies and initiatives that contribute to achievement of organizational goals and priorities. Key clients/stakeholders include cross-ministry partners, regulatory colleges, senior leadership, operational managers and supervisors, provincial portfolio areas, clinical leads and educators. You will also conduct and participate in research and evaluation projects, analyzing and refining statistical information as required. As a Program Consultant II, you will be responsible for health promotion and specialized planning, consulting and program development that is province wide in scope, as well as participating in additional project work related to the development of strategy.
