Your Opportunity:The Outpatient & Community Physiotherapy Services (OCPS) program (Calgary Zone) supports client access to single-discipline physiotherapy service, currently provided by more than sixty contracted clinics across the Zone. The Program Facilitator acts a Physiotherapy Consultant and is responsible for the day-to-day management of the contracted services including review of service requests, wayfinding for individuals seeking outpatient physiotherapy services and executing monthly finance and utilization reporting. The Program Coordinator also performs a key role in providing communication and education to contracted service providers in regards to the service model, eligibility criteria and the Programs IT system usage. We are looking for a Physiotherapist who has experience with the ambulatory patient population and has demonstrated leadership, decision-making and organizational skills. The successful candidate will require excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively manage a high workload. The Program Facilitator collaborates closely with both AHS and community stakeholders, including the incumbent PT Consultant for Calgary Zone and counterparts in other Zones. The community-based position requires travel to AHS sites and contracted Physiotherapy clinics within Calgary Zone. The OCPS program is part of the Adult Community Rehabilitation department, along with Community Accessible Rehabilitation (CAR), Calgary Community Aids for Independent Living (CCAIL), Calgary Ambulatory Lymphedema Service (CALS), Calgary Voice Program (CVP) and ENT Clinic (RRDTC). Positions within this Allied Health department may be subject to change based on operational needs. Support or coverage for Program Facilitators working with our musculoskeletal, neurological, pulmonary, and/or rheumatology rehab clienteles may be required.Description:As a Program Facilitator, you will be responsible for the coordination of services, in addition to operational and clinical leadership. You will support the team to ensure that the services offered are coordinated, effective, evidence based and patient and family centered. Leadership on department/program/service committees is expected. You may also provide varying degrees of direct clinical care at an advanced level. You will provide direction for program evaluation and development within the service or program, and ensure that systems are in place to promote ease of transition between programs internally and externally. You will provide clinical supervision and education to interdisciplinary staff and students in order to support their ongoing day to day professional practice.
