Corporate Services is located in Calgary at Bethany’s Riverview campus.For more information, check out this video about Working at BethanySummary:Bethany is looking for a Project Coordinator, support and assist in the successful completion of a large provincially funded project in building and advancing Palliative and End of Life Care in continuing care. This project, funded through a Government of Alberta Grant, will provide Bethany residents and tenants with strengthened service standards through education and training strategies focused on enhancing the quality of Palliative and End of Life Care (PEOLC). Specifically, the aim is to deliver an innovative interdisciplinary education and training strategy for PEOLC across twelve unique BCS long term care and supportive living sites located in a mix of urban and rural Alberta communities: Calgary, Cochrane, Airdrie, Didsbury, Olds, Sundre, Red Deer and Sylvan Lake.Reporting to the Project Lead, Long Term Care, the Project Coordinator will be responsible for assisting in the management of the project scope, timelines and budgets as well as, completing the required project reporting.Key Deliverables:

  • Assist in the development of the project monitoring and reporting requirements
  • Assist in the management of the project scope, budget and timelines
  • Develop and monitor education and training resources that will enhance the core competencies of the Palliative Care team.
  • Ensure the learning needs for project implementation are identified and addressed across site teams.
  • Ensure project and program measures are complete, accurate, current and timely, with regards to project/program data collection, analysis and reporting
  • Ensure adherence to policies and procedures pertaining to the implementation of programs and services impacted through the project
  • Ensure the development and implementation of education processes and resources provided to the site teams meet or exceed industry standards, legislation and collective agreement requirements.
  • Establish and maintain relationships across project, program and site teams
  • Develop strategies in gathering feedback and information contributing to the success of the project
  • Ensure Accurate, comprehensive, and timely documentation of project progress reports.
Required Education and Credentials:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a health-related discipline.
  • Masters degree or equivalent specializing in education, theology, and/or health discipline preferred.
  • Project Management course work and/or certificate considered an asset (i.e. PMP, CAPM)
  • Change Management experience and/or certification considered an asset (i.e. Prosci)
  • Quality Improvement experience and/or training considered an asset (i.e. Lean Six Sigma)
Required Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
  • 3-5 years of experience working in a health care organization with a gerontology focus (i.e. palliative care, home and community care, supportive living, long term care, primary care) required
  • 3-5 years recent Project Coordination experience in a health care setting considered an asset
  • Experience with coordinating multi-site projects preferred
  • Familiarity with adult education and remote learning considered an asset
  • Experience in integrating information technology into education is considered an asset
  • Experience working with interdisciplinary teams is considered an asset
  • Exposure to Palliative and End of Life Care
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Effective problem solving and conflict resolution skills, utilizing analytical and conceptual thinking in the identification and resolution of issues
  • Demonstrated high-level critical thinking skills
  • Strong technical skills, including the Microsoft Office Suite, and project management tools
