Your Opportunity:Reporting to the Manager South Region, the Project Manager is responsible to manage projects and project teams through the project management life cycle. This includes architecture and planning, implementation, project close-out and transition to operations. The incumbent represents IT as a single point of contact on assigned AB Infrastructure and Capital Management projects for new buildings, renovations and major staff relocations. Leads, Co-ordinates and Monitors small, medium and components of larger IT Facility projects (for large scale projects incumbent will work under a Senior Project Manager). Leads several projects concurrently – IT Facility Portfolio usually holds a float of between 150 and 200 projects, with a team of 20. Co-ordinates the activities of project team: Identifies resources needed, secures project resources by following the approved intake processes. Works cohesively with assigned resources to validate project requirements, solicit feedback on best practices and coordinate activities between resource team, project sponsors and user groups. Develops work plans and schedules and monitors assigned IT project resources to remain on schedule, retain project scope and remain within budget allotments.Description:Able to lead several projects concurrently. Solves a range of complex problems. Works to manage and direct IT project resources (eg. Telecom, Network, Telehealth, Client Support Services, Application Teams), to remain on schedule, retain project scope and remain within budget allotments. Communicates, manages expectations and represents the organization’s interests to internal and external stakeholders; may work directly with external vendors. Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve IT processes and/or services. Responsible for reporting status, budget and other updates as required to the organization/stakeholders. Required to submit quarterly financial reports and invoices to AB Infrastructure (if on AB Infrastructure projects). The IT Facility Projects Portfolio has its own project intake and assignment process. Projects come from one of the two intake sources and are assigned by the Manager for the zone. AHS Capital Management, Space Management or IT Internal – projects under this umbrella have a budget less than $5M where IT is a component of the larger project. Incumbent will manage all IT requirements and resources, and provide cost estimates to the Capital Management Project Manager, Space Planner or IT Project Sponsor. AB Infrastructure Construction Projects – projects under this umbrella have a budget greater than $5M where IT is a component of the larger project. Incumbent manages all IT requirements and is accountable for the grant funded budget greater than $5M where IT is a component of the larger project plus IT Project Funding. These projects will 99% of the time report into the PMO, so require full use of the PMO Methodology.

Required Qualifications:A Bachelor’s degree or IT Polytechnic Certificate, with plans towards working on a Project Management designation. A minimum of 5 – 7 years of project experience working in an IT environment.
