Job Description

Your Role and ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities:

  • Produce a Cost Case estimate that is accurate within +/- 5% of the actual delivered cost.
  • The PW is expected to deliver proposal document within the customers (SLA) Service Level Agreement SLA.
  • Coordinate among solution architects, account specialists and (SME) Subject Matter Experts to produce an accurate and complete proposal.
  • Provide weekly reports on the status of proposals that are “work in progress”, that are ready for signature, that have been signed, and the number that were rejected.
  • Perform validation on the proposed solution with independent experts. Obtain approval for the cost case with senior managers.
  • Strive for continuous improvements and increased customers satisfaction with the proposal development process.
  • Participate in customer satisfaction surveys, customer feedback meetings, internal audits, lessons learned, or other similar activities.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the QA proposal review process, proposal pricing process. In all proposal documents, utilize the correct contract language terminology.
  • Be able to provide cross-team coordination to complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Understand and demonstrate a working knowledge of the department’s mission.
  • The PW will recognize complex problems, analyze situations, and resolve issues.
  • Maintain a high standard of written and oral communications.
  • Adapt to new assignments, processes and methods as required.
  • Understand and work effectively in a matrixed environment.
  • Provide support to team members.
  • Chair internal stakeholder meetings and participate in customer meetings where required.
  • Drive consistency and standards for proposal development.
  • Develop insight and understanding of infrastructure architecture and why architecture decisions are made.
  • Utilize a risk mitigation process to reduce the risk of cost overruns or underpricing of proposals.
  • Give price quotes that are within delegated authority.
  • Ensures usage of IBM approved contract language in all proposal documents.
  • Adheres to the IBM Customer Services Evaluation Guide and completes an Open Source Software Assessment for each proposal.
  • Utilizes, where needed, the Engineering and Environment Affairs Questionnaire.
  • Creates an IBM Box for customer proposal document artifacts, and ensure they are available for audit compliance checks.
