Full-time team members are eligible for health benefits after 6 months, and discounted hotel rooms at Hilton hotels around the globe.THE ROLE: Public Area Attendants contribute to the overall success of the hotel by responding to guests’ request in an efficient and friendly manner; ensuring our public areas are clean, inviting and stocked with appropriate amenities; and assisting the room and laundry attendants to ensure a high level of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the hotel.ACTIVITIES: The duties and responsibilities for the Public Area Attendant include, but are not limited to the following:· Thorough and complete cleaning of all guest floors, public washroom, elevators, stairwells, and interior/exterior public areas, fitness room/showers as set by efficiency standards of the hotel. Examples of tasks may include carpet shampooing, cleaning corridors and vents, washing floors and windows.· Maintain pool and fitness room supplies and cleanliness.· Maintain amenities in public areas.· Assist with outdoor property upkeep including collecting litter, washing windows, and seasonally clearing snow and addressing icy conditions.· Assist with inventories and help prevent waste and misuse of guest and cleaning supplies and equipment.· Assist room attendants in order to have a smooth operation. Remove all garbage, soiled linen and dirty food trays from corridors in a prompt manner. Strip rooms.· Respond to requests from other departments, assisting in checking rooms, luggage delivery and guest special request.· Assist in guest room and public area deep-cleans, including mattress rotation and carpet shampooing.· Ensure all guests receive prompt attention, providing value-added service by doing whatever is reasonable and possible to exceed guest expectations.· Ensure security standards are practiced, to protect guest’s privacy and belongings, as well as employee’s.· Follow hotel policies in relation to key control, and the security of hotel property, including linens, supply cards, vacuums and storage rooms.· Adhere to all hotel policies and procedures, and follow procedures listed in shift checklists.· Communicates with MOD and co-workers regarding product/ service deficiencies, equipment, safety problems, etc.· Adhere to all policies and procedures in place at the hotel and attend work on time as scheduled.· Behave in a professional and honest member.· Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and standards. Ensures good safety practices of employees and guests, assisting in the maintenance of proper emergency and security procedures.SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: · Ability to work flexible shifts (weekdays and weekends, evenings and holidays)· Completion of High School, GED or equivalent required.· Excellent customer service, time management, organization, attention to detail and initiative.· Ability to multi-task and work under heavy pressure / stress during busy times.· Clear verbal communication skills.· Job requires considerable walking and standing for long periods of time, frequent and repetitive lifting, reaching, bending, stretching, pulling, pushing and twisting.Application deadline: 2021-06-07Job Type: Full-timeSalary: From $15.92 per hourBenefits:
