Viking is seeking a Publications Support Representative to join the Customer Service & Product Support division in Calgary.Viking Air Limited (a subsidiary of Longview Aviation Capital) is the global leader in utility aircraft services and manufacturer of Series 400 and Guardian 400 Twin Otter Aircraft. In 2020, Viking celebrated their 50th anniversary. Viking is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Type Certificate holder for all out-of-production De Havilland Canada aircraft and the Canadair Amphibious Aerial Firefighting aircraft fleet.Longview Aviation Capital, through its subsidiaries, holds the Type Certificates for the entire original product line of the De Havilland Aircraft of Canada Company. Together these companies continue to make strides in manufacturing and modernizing versatile, fuel efficient and environmentally responsible turboprop aircraft for use around the world.Due to the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic, this role is eligible for a Temporary Remote Work Agreement under Vikings Remote Work Policy.SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:The Publications Support Representative reports to the Manager, Maintenance Programs Group and the primary purpose of the role is to:Ensure provision of applicable technical documents to operators through coordination of subscriptions and distribution.Monitor, research and analyze customer feedback on technical publications quality, and engage with other stakeholders to address root causes to initiate rectifications as required.As required, support the Technical Publications Coordinator in the creation of technical documents.Always represent Viking in a professional and courteous manner in every communication with customers or prospective customer.MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Technical Publications Coordination:Ensure technical publication requirements of Viking's operator/customers and other data users are satisfied, and that Viking's Service level objectives are met.Act as the primary point of contact for data user's requests pertaining to technical publications quality.Ensure provision of applicable technical documents to operators through coordination of subscriptions and distribution.support the Technical Publications Coordinator in the creation of technical documents.Quality Administration (Technical Publications):Collect and report Customer Complaint Feedback (CCF) related to Technical Publications.Work with appropriate stakeholders to conduct root cause determination and develop corrective actions.Proactively identify needed corrections and improvements to Technical Publications.Support and participate as required in the development of Technical Publications QDs and WisCommercial Activities and Performance:Accurate entry, review and management of customer orders including PO changes and customer schedule changes.Proactively communicate customer order status updates.Ensure business/commercial aspects of technical publications provision are satisfied through aspects such as quoting, invoicing, and working with associated departments within Viking.Monitor commercial metrics to ensure that business objectives are satisfied in the delivery of technical publications and related services.R2E / Continual Improvement:Actively participate in Viking's Runway 2 Excellence (R2E) program.Assist in the development of standard work for all division activities respecting Lean principles.Understand metrics that measure key performance parameters.Strive to achieve world class levels of customer service in every interaction our clients have with Viking.EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:Formal technical training (e.g.: diploma or other...), or equivalent industry experience.Proficiency in the English language with good knowledge of Simplified English.Experience with industry-standard desktop publishing software such as Interleaf/Quicksilver, Arbortext, Framemaker, MS Word.Experience with image/illustration editing software.Experience in the aviation industry and in-service aircraft.Experience with Canadian Aviation Regulations (including CARs 521, 561, 571, & 573).Experience with aviation Quality Assurance.Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong willingness to learn.Good understanding of aircraft production processes.Experience with aircraft maintenance would be an asset.WHY JOIN VIKING AIR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND PRODUCT SUPPORTPaid day off for your birthdayVacation in your first year of employmentRSP matching programCompetitive salary100% employer paid benefits for medical, dental, vision and life insurance.Comprehensive virtual onboarding programOpportunity to join an entrepreneurial team of engineers committed to solving customer problems.Career growth opportunities throughout the Longview Aviation Capital group of companiesProfessional development Viking supports employees career development with opportunities to attend aerospace specific training courses and eventsWe thank all candidates for applying, however; only selected applicants will be contacted.
