Job Description

PULMONARY FUNCTION TESTING DIAGNOSTIC FACILITY MANAGERAt MedSleep, skilled, dedicated, enthusiastic employees are at the heart of everything we do. We have a great career opportunity for someone looking to join a growing team of health professionals.We have a progressive career opportunity for a motivated individual who will be responsible for our Pulmonary Function Testing (“PFT”) business development initiative in the Alberta region. This role would require the successful applicant to complete and obtain licensing for a new facility, set-up and supervise the operation of the PFT labs in Edmonton and Calgary, and brand building in the community and surrounding areas. This is a full-time opportunity, working Monday to Friday.

  • Development of Policy & Procedures for a new Pulmonary Function Testing Laboratory.
  • Liaising with College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta to achieve Accreditation.
  • Hiring and training Registered Respiratory Therapists.
  • Responsible for day-to-day operation of the facility.
  • Provide technical support to staff and physicians.
  • Coordinate troubleshooting and maintenance of equipment.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining quality assurance, quality control and risk management program.
  • Maintain current knowledge of professional standards, accreditation requirements and health and safety guidelines and ensures compliance of staff.
  • Demonstrates fiscal responsibility in developing and growing the business.
  • Coordinates and Manages billing with Alberta Health Services.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager.
Qualifications:
  • Registrar of the College and Association of Respiratory Therapists of Alberta.
  • Minimum 4+ years experience in working and managing a Pulmonary Function Testing Facility.
  • Experience with CPSA Accreditation.
  • Good time management skills, ability to work effectively under pressure and meet demanding deadlines.
  • Ability to multi-task, assess situations and prioritize tasks accordingly.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively independently and as a team leader.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Programs and Electronic Medical Records systems.
  • Demonstrate organizations skills and ability to prioritize work and adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines.
