What do we needWe need a real leader here who can take charge, make quick diligent decisions, educate the client, advocate QA requirements / approach and help Project Manager drive the project delivery. So, the candidate must have a vast experience managing QA efforts on large programs including test automation, test data / environment management, management of multiple QA teams, great communication / presentation skills.Responsibilities will include:
  • Manage Medium to Large testing Engagements
  • Perform Activities that support and Manage the testing of ongoing projects from Planning or inception stage right up to UAT or Pre-Prod Stage
  • Providing risk management and issue/problem resolution as required besides formulating risk mitigation strategies
  • Develop testing timelines and follow through them.
  • Oversee key project deliverables: test strategy, plan, test cases , defect logs, dashboards, test closure reports, entry/exit criteria
  • Driving Execution of Project and Program Deliverables.
  • Implement testing delivery roadmap to successful project execution
  • Develop positive, strong working relationships with the client and internal testing teams
  • Proven track record for defining and implementing testing efficiencies
  • Preparing and delivering presentations for assigned Projects regarding program status to key stakeholders
  • Synchronize and Manage Cross Project Dependencies.
  • Formulate risk mitigation strategies besides monitoring risks and issues.
  • Co-ordinate with Global Quality and Test Teams
Must be located in Calgary or willing to relocate to Calgary.WesternCICRequired Technical and Professional Expertise
  • At least 10+ years of experience and knowledge of QA methodologies
  • Experience with test management tools – devops, jira (including Zephyr), ALM , Confluence
  • Exposure to test automation tools and scripting like Selenium, Katalon, QTP/UFT , Cypress
  • Adept at maintaining client relationships
  • Able to meaningfully participate in requirement review, test planing, test strategy, project planning meetings with the ability to understand and point out gaps in those streamsAbility to formulate innovative solutions to complex problems – Problem Solving abilities needed
  • Comfortable with handling change management, requirement changes and constant adjustments to project scope
  • Ability to formulate innovative solutions to complex problems – Problem Solving abilities needed
  • Ability to devise and implement process improvements suggested by DPE
  • Project management skills and experience - able to juggle multiple different priorities
  • Experience with Waterfall, Agile & DevOps methodologies
  • Strong coordination skills
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Experience supporting teams globally
  • Exposure to IBM Ignite Platform in the automation context is an asset
  • Project Management Certification (PMP)
