Moore Wittman Phillips is looking for an experienced real estate paralegal to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will be client-focused, detail oriented, and a reliable team player. The position is for a 6 month contract, with the possibility for extension or to be hired on a permanent basis.The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing residential real estate transactions from start to finish and feels comfortable with managing files independently. Files include sales, purchases, refinances, and private transactions. Experience with commercial transactions would be an asset, but is not required.In addition, the ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:At least 5 years of residential real estate experience working in a law firmAdvanced knowledge of real estate conveyancing procedures and legal terminologyHighly knowledgeable with Unity/DoProcess, PCLaw, SPIN, and MS Office.Courteous and professional mannerAbility to work independently, as well as in collaboration with lawyers.Drafting and reviewing standard real estate transaction documents, including reviewing and preparing lending documents.Liaising with all internal and external parties, such as clients, mortgage brokers, financial institutions or realtorsAbility to review and analyze Land Title SearchesPreparing reporting letters to clients and lending institutionsAbility to manage high volume of tasks and files on a rush basis (if needed)General administrative tasks as required, including office and file managementSchedule: Our office hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday.
