The Recruiter is responsible for full-cycle recruitment, workforce planning, providing guidance and recommendations to hiring managers and building strong relationships. The position is responsible for recruiting for trades and office positions of a busy and growing organization. This position reports to the Human Resources Manager and requires a strong team player with excellent communication skills, time management, planning skills, a strong initiative, and the ability to work independently.RequirementsPOSITION-SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Collaborate with managers, leadership and HR team to understand the workforce plans and forecast hiring needs.
  • Provide advice and guidance to hiring managers throughout the search process to meet business and cultural needs and determine selection criteria
  • Identify strategies to proactively build a talent pool for shop and field trades positions to ensure qualified candidates remain engaged in current and future opportunities.
  • Conduct preliminary interviews with the candidates to assess the skills, qualification and experience of potential candidates.
  • Design interview questions that reflect each positions requirement. Conduct interviews with hiring managers and provide guidance and recommendations.
  • Manage full-cycle recruiting, including conducting background checks, reference checks and onboarding process.
  • Support with high volume recruitment of trade employees and ensure manpower requirements are met in a timely manner
  • Provide regular reports for the leadership for recruitment statistics and activities
  • Actively work toward building a diverse and qualified team to support the organization
  • Build long term relationships with past and potential candidates
  • In collaboration with marketing coordinator, leverage the company brand to increase awareness through job postings on the Company’s website, job search site and social media
  • Where necessary, work with the third party contractors to fulfill recruitment requirements

KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & EDUCATION
  • Minimum 5 years in a recruiting role, preferable in oilfield pipeline manufacturing and construction
  • Experience liaising with indigenous communities an asset
  • Registered Professional Recruiter Certification preferred
  • Experience in onboarding, ATS, and hiring systems
