Based in Calgary, Alberta, we aim to enhance shareholder returns by cost-effectively growing our significant asset base in the Viewfield Bakken, Shaunavon, Flat Lake, and East Shale Duvernay plays.Crescent Point is currently seeking to fill the following position:Job Title: Royalty AnalystLocation: Calgary, AlbertaReports to: Team Lead, RoyaltiesEmployment Type: PermanentThe following will provide you with basic guidelines as to the duties required of this position.Purpose:The Royalty Analyst will be a key member of Crescent Point’s Operations Accounting team and will be responsible for assisting the team in managing a large portfolio of Freehold and Gross Overriding royalties.Main Responsibilities & Activities:Review and recording of Crescent Point’s royalty revenueAdminister the monthly Freehold and GORR cheque run processMonthly account reconciliationsCalculation and recording of Crescent Point’s NPI obligationsCreate financial journal entries with associated back-upHandling of 3rd party royalty queriesEnsure internal controls are working effectivelyCollaborate with team members to identify and implement process improvementsMaintain constructive working relationships with both internal and external business partnersOther projects as requiredKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:Three - Five years of Royalty or Production Accounting experienceExperience with Metrix, Qbyte FM, CS Explorer, Accumap, and Energylink would be considered an assetStrong Microsoft Office skills are required with above average proficiency in ExcelSelf-starter with strong analytical skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentExperience with Power BI reporting would be an assetExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsTeam player who enjoys learning and contributing to team goalsOnly qualified candidates of interest will be contactedQuick Apply
