Rendering is a process that creates high value products from materials that would be otherwise sent to landfill or compost. We deliver raw material containers to suppliers by truck, rail and vessel, ship products globally and offer storage, shipping, refining and blending services. We export 65% of Canada’s canola oil to Asia Pacific markets annually and recycle about 1 billion pounds of raw material every year in Western Canada.Based at our Calgary plant location, we are hiring a permanent Sales Account Manager. The role will partake in account management, sales negotiation, and product marketing for small to mid-sized finished goods clients. In the absence of other Logistics Coordinators, the Sales Account Manager will act as a backup coordinator for shipments via truck, rail and vessel.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESAccount management of key customers, distributors and vendorsMaintain strong partnerships with external vendors, customers, contractors and government contacts related to business developmentCoordinate sales of finished goods to small and medium-sized clients or trading partnersContract negotiation, broker deals, sales coordination, and arrange payment for assigned client groupsActively solicit new business and identify new or emerging markets through strong product marketingParticipate in new project proposals and business developmentCommunicate with Production Managers regarding product quality, specifications and delivery of finished goods to meet customer expectationsDevelop presentations and reportsCross-train and provide back-up support of Logistics Coordinators including handling export documentation for railcars, vessels, vehicles, accounting invoicing and payablesAttend industry events and client visitsMonitor new or revised custom laws, import regulations and industry-related global issuesDESIRED QUALIFICATIONSFormal post-secondary education in Business Administration, Commerce, Agricultural Business Management or equivalent discipline2 to 5 years sales experience with brokering deals, sales contract negotiation, account management and supplier or vendor relationship developmentFamiliarity with the rendering industry or relevant protein meals, raw materials or finished goods exposure is beneficialDemonstrated ability to develop and maintain business relationships with current customers, potential vendors and government relationsStrong communication skills with prior experience presenting to key stakeholders in sales pitchesAbility to travel domestically and internationallyPossession of a valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean abstractINTERESTED CANDIDATES ARE INVITED TO SUBMIT THEIR APPLICATION VIA THE “APPLY NOW” LINK BELOW.We thank all applicants, however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.Other detailsPay Type Salary Travel Required Yes
