Scheduler/Project Controller (Junior/Intermediate) - Calgary - (AUS0007EF)If you’re like us, you don’t have much time for the way things are.Ausenco is a global company redefining what’s possible. Combining our deep technical expertise with a 30-year track record, we deliver innovative, value-add consulting studies, project delivery, asset operations and maintenance solutions to the mining & metals, oil & gas, and industrial sectors.Our Project Controllers work as a team to carry out administrative and controls tasks alongside or on behalf of Project/Study Managers Controllers help with the entire life-cycle of the project from project initiation and budgeting to monitoring to close-out. You may be dedicated to one or more projects or PMs, or provide one-time, as-needed support to a wide range of projects.About the role

  • Participating in weekly Scheduling/Project Controls meetings where we balance workloads, share lessons learned and continuously improve the team’s technical knowledge, and build a rewarding interdependent team environment
  • Administering the Proposal and early project setup, baselines including working with finance, legal / commercial, and other internal stakeholders to prepare the project
  • Interacting with baseline budgeting tools and as-sold analysis
  • Administering and complying with necessary change management processes related to approved budget, scope or schedule modifications
  • Supporting PMs with budget, schedule, progress, and status reporting to address client-facing reporting requirements
  • Monitor project work in progress and accounts receivable conditions to optimize cashflow
  • Updating forecasted estimate to completion and ensuring most current knowledge are registered in the company’s financial monitoring system.
About you
  • Three or more years’ experience in multi-disciplinary project environment, with exposure to cost control, planning and scheduling, change management and progress measurement in the field of engineering and construction;
  • A talent for quantitative data analysis and picking up new software applications.
  • The ability to effectively communicate verbal and written positions and conclusions regarding project and business interests.
  • An awareness and understanding of the fundamentals of project management.
  • A can-do attitude; an appetite for learning; an interest in efficient business systems; a drive to find a better way.
  • Above-average ability to operate standard MS Office and Primavera P6.
  • Sharepoint and Oracle experience would be strong value-added skills.
