Accommodations are available during the hiring process, upon request.Reporting to the Scheduling Lead, the Scheduling Analyst will support the Green Line business unit with scheduling and analysis activities, including scheduling reporting, monitoring, and analysis, in support of execution of Stage 1 of the Green Line Program. Primary duties include:

  • Support the Scheduling Lead in establishing and maintaining a formal process for schedule development, monitoring, and control.
  • Develop baseline and update project detailed schedules (on a regular basis), in line with the work breakdown structure (WBS). Work with project team to detail activities, duration, and the interrelated logic between activities. Baseline schedule for tracking once sufficiently developed.
  • Oversee resource loading, leveling, and activity/project coding.
  • Document and communicate project schedules assumptions.
  • Undertake planning and scheduling for all stages of the project.
  • Coordinate with contractors and functional departments to gather schedules updates, project status, and other relevant information.
  • Report on schedule progress, issues, and risks including recommended corrective actions as required. Participate in ongoing reviews of project schedule update meetings, including weekly, bi-weekly and monthly reviews as well as key performance indicators with the Project Manager.
  • Participate in the process of setting up new contracts and/or contract extensions by providing both accurate and timely scheduling information, and processing changes request orders in accordance to the change control process and contract policies and guidelines. Prepare schedule analysis and claims/counter claims as required.
Qualifications
  • A degree and a minimum of 5 years of project controls experience, preferably in the engineering, construction, or rail industry.
  • A proven track record of schedule development, schedule control, and schedule analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency with Oracle P6 and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, Project).
  • Preference will be given to applicants with the following:
    • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Power BI.
    • Experience with a risk analysis software.
    • Knowledge of applicable Project Management Institute (PMI) and American Association of Cost Engineers (AACE) standards and procedures for project controls.
    • Project management certification such as a Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), Project Management Professional (PMP), Scheduling Professionals (PMI-SP), or Planning and Scheduling Professional (PSP).
  • Success in this position requires a demonstrated high attention to detail; the ability to work effectively both independently and within a multi-disciplinary team; excellent collaboration, communication, organizational, and analytical skills; and strong communication skills.
