Job Description

Partner Staffing is thequot;go to recruiter quot; for difficult, important, and time-sensitive positions in Western Canada.We work with proactive clients who understand the importance of having exceptional staff.Partner Staffing on behalf of our Client, we are seeking a Senior Project Manager who will play a critical leadership role in delivering complex commercial and institutional construction projects across office spaces, seniors #39; and multifamily housing, and healthcare facilities. This position ensures that all aspects of project execution meet safety, quality, budget, and schedule objectives while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships and a client-focused approach. The Project Manager guides the delivery team and partners through all phases of planning, design, procurement, construction, and closeout.RequirementsKey Responsibilities:·Safetyamp; Quality Leadership: Support Superintendents in maintaining rigorous safety practices tailored to occupied or sensitive environments (e.g., medical and seniors #39; facilities). Ensure project quality aligns with Westcor’s standards and client expectations.·Clientamp; Consultant Coordination: Act as primary liaison with owners, healthcare administrators, design consultants, and municipal authorities. Issue comprehensive monthly updates covering schedules, shop drawings, photos, budgets, constraints, and risks.·Contract Managementamp; Compliance: Interpret and manage contract obligations, particularly regarding health regulations, accessibility codes, and phased occupancy. Document trade partner non-compliance and manage potential risks early.·Designamp; Pre-Construction Oversight: Guide teams through pre-construction and design development, ensuring constructability, cost control, and alignment with building codes (e.g., CSA standards for healthcare or seniors housing). Lead design gap reviews and suggest value engineering solutions.·Procurementamp; Permits: Manage trade and supplier procurement with a focus on long-lead medical equipment, energy-efficient building systems, and resident-focused amenities. Apply for permits and work closely with AHJs on zoning, fire/life safety, and healthcare-specific regulations.·Schedulingamp; Construction Coordination: Coordinate project phases to minimize disruption in occupied buildings (such as medical clinics or seniors residences). Facilitate planning and construction meetings, track milestones, and lead commissioning planning for complex mechanical/electrical systems.·Financial Management: Track and approve progress billing, prepare client invoicing and holdbacks, and support cost recovery documentation. Monitor budget alignment, perform monthly WIP forecasting, and manage change orders collaboratively.·Team Developmentamp; Mentorship: Support junior team members and foster a collaborative, high-performance culture. Encourage learning and development through coaching, cross-training, and structured feedback (PDCA cycles).·Business Development Support: Represent Westcor’s brand and capabilities in client meetings and industry events.
