Responsibilities: As a you start your career as a Technician, you will spend your day on the road providing high quality service directly to East Penn Canada customersYou will be accountable for:
  • Completing battery & charger inspections, maintenance & reports
  • Inspecting & performing minor repairs on battery cables, connectors & accessories
  • Reporting on & recommending follow up for additional repairs
  • Conducting pre-delivery inspections & installations of battery monitoring devices
  • Installing, inspecting, repairing & testing watering systems
  • Preparing batteries for transportation
Qualifications: All our Field Service Technicians receive full battery training, but a strong foundation and background in the following will set you up for success:
  • Mechanical / electrical aptitude
  • Previous experience in a technical or customer service-related role
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to provide clear explanations
  • Good problem solving / troubleshooting skills
  • Solid customer service focus and experience creating a positive customer experience
  • Ability to identify opportunities to advise / support the customer, upsell and cross-sell would be beneficial
Other Considerations…
  • Valid G driver’s license required with a clean driving record.
  • Must be willing and able to frequently lift and/or move vehicle/industrial batteries
  • Background checks including criminal checks, driver’s abstract and employment references will be requested.
