Job Description

Summary: JVD Installations Inc. provides a unique solution to the turnaround, maintenance, and construction needs of the petrochemical industry. Our goal is to provide innovative solutions that lower construction and maintenance costs while maintaining excellence in safety and quality and thus providing a lower total cost of ownership for our clients.Job Summary: We are seeking a Service Writer for our Kitimat site located in British Columbia. The successful candidates will be responsible for service and maintenance related administrative duties .Responsibilities:

  • Work order completion, technician time tracking, warranty recovery and preventive maintenance currency.
  • Scheduling, maintaining equipment files, processing service related invoices, handling customer inquiries and keeping the service department informed with respect to service bulletins and general information.
  • Work Order Completions, including opening and closing work orders with accurate information
  • Ensure that all tasks eligible for warranty are created and submitted for warranty
  • Monitor warranty reporting to ensure that all claims are properly brought to closure
  • Run Preventive Maintenance reports and schedule work as appropriate to maintain a high level of fleet currency
  • Handle equipment maintenance related issues with a high sense of urgency
  • May perform other related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Valid drivers license with acceptable driving record
  • 2 - 3 years’ experience in a shop or service environment
  • Ability to source solutions and resolve issues efficiently
  • Intermediate skill level in MS Office Package
  • Strong coordination and organization skills
  • Ability to set and manage priorities to meet all deadlines
  • Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing
Work Conditions
  • Site is located in Kitimat, British Columbia
  • Working a 14 day on 7 day off rotation
  • Camp accommodations will be provided onsite
  • The camp is fully equipped with private rooms and bathrooms, multiple dining areas, entertainment areas, medical facilities, games rooms, a gym, running track, gymnasium, climbing wall, golf simulator, and more
  • Flights will be provided from Calgary, Edmonton, Kelowna, Vancouver, Nanaimo, or Prince George
  • Transportation to site will be provided by bus for locals living in Terrace or Kitimat
  • Work will be primarily outdoors in various weather conditions
  • The site has a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination program in effect November 30, 2021.
