Job Description

As such, we welcome talented individuals that have a variety of perspectives, backgrounds, and industry experience who will contribute to the success of our One Parkland team.Position Title: Settlement RepresentativeTeam and Location: Shared Services – Calgary, ABPosition Summary:Reporting to the Supervisor, Settlements this position will be responsible for minimizing credit risk exposure (collection). The incumbent will play a pivotal role in educating Dealers & Retailers and partners in Sales and Operations of the importance of payments being made in a prompt manner and in accordance with the terms of sales.Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing daily settlement reports and identifying the payments that need to be banked each day.
  • Communicate between Settlement Team, Operations, and our Retailers/Dealers to reconcile any variances of sales
  • Contact clients to resolve invoicing discrepancies and work internally to correct
  • Complete adhoc reporting requests by management and operations
  • Assist with projects and acquisitions as needed
  • Identify process automation opportunities and work with RPA (Robotic Process Automation) team
  • Meet daily, weekly, and monthly targets by completing the below activities:
  • reconcile G/L accounts, including credit cards
  • Investigate and resolve any over/short payments
  • Collect payment for any unpaid/overdue invoices
  • Obtain proper back-up and resolve any disputes
  • Reporting to management regarding status of the portfolio
  • Meets departments targets as they relate to AR, ie: DSO, etc.
  • Address all customer complaints and work with customers to come up with solutions
  • Continuously assist in process improvement initiatives
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Ability to adapt within a fast paced environment-change is the norm
  • Accounting background an asset
  • 2-3 Years’ experience in collections and/or reconciliations
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Strong communication, organizational, listening and analytical skills
  • Quick learner, self-motivated
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Working knowledge of JD Edwards, PDI, Getpaid
  • Bi-Lingual in French would be an asset
