You will build, analyze, and present strategic portfolio information.What you will do:

  • Develop project management processes, methods, tools, guidelines and standards in order to implement a stable framework that supports all project teams and stakeholders to improve the probability of successful project delivery
  • Implement effective stage gate reviews as defined by the PMO framework to determine overall health outlook of our capital investments by highlighting any issues and making recommendations based on the performance of individual projects.
  • Support Business Case review process for project prioritization and Funding
  • Generate initiatives to mature project management practices across all deployment methodologies – agile, waterfall and hybrid.
  • Standardize project delivery methods and conduct training on governance framework.
  • Deploy continuous improvement initiatives to ensure efficient user experience with PMO tools, templates, methodology and reporting
  • Collaborate with business units and peers on the definition of metrics and key performance indicators for projects.
Who you are:
  • Bachelor’s degree or a diploma in business, computer science or a related field
  • 10+ years of directly related Project Management experience including minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience in project management and execution
  • Proven understanding of several project management standard methodologies, tools and techniques (for example, PMI PMBOK, PRINCE2 and agile)
  • Program management skills and experience, plus significant knowledge of project planning tools with evidence of practical application.
  • Working knowledge of assessing project value and benefit realization.
  • Foundational financial skill and proficiency with Excel, SharePoint, and ERP Systems (e.g. Oracle, Workday) knowledge of PowerBI is an asset
  • Proficiencies in the competencies associated with Project Portfolio Control / Assurance and Program / Project Management including:
  • Project Management Governance and Compliance
  • Ability to analyze operational and project requirements and ascertain vital resource requirements
  • Ability to initiate and influence cultural change among operational groups to facilitate the gathering of necessary data in a timely manner.
  • ITIL V3 Foundation Certificate and PMI Certified is an asset.
