Further information is available at www.bgis.comSUMMARYThe Strategic Sourcing Information Specialist is responsible for providing business support in several areas. These include; service delivery governance, service level performance measurement, management of Sustainable Procurement (including Supplier Sustainability & Diversity and developing value creation opportunities for Client accounts), Business Development technical responses and QMS Document management.KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESGovernance and documentation of Strategic Sourcing processes and system improvements

  • In collaboration with team leadership (VP and Directors Strategic Sourcing), develops and documents processes integrating client and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborates with relevant SMEs to ensure document content is up to date and compliant to governance requirements.
  • Develops, maintains Strategic Sourcing documents in Intelex (Policies, Processes, Work Instructions, Forms, Templates, Training documents) and ensures Quality and language requirements are met.
  • Ensures contracting templates in eHUB system are synchronized with Intelex versions.
  • Collaborates with relevant stakeholders to ensure integrity of data within applicable databases.
  • Acts as a system administrator for the eHUB contracting system and develops audit reports and conducts audits to ensure eHUB data accuracy and integrity.
  • Develops dashboards and processes to measure team compliance, progress and accomplishments.
  • Audits the team’s work execution to ensure compliance with factors including but not limited to internal processes and service delivery obligations.
  • Identifies solutions to implement changes in internal processes and technologies and collaborates with stakeholders to implement changes.
  • Acts as Administrator for other 3 rd party applications and subscriptions such as eSign, Survey Monkey, Smartsheet.
Manage the BGIS Supplier Sustainability & Diversity Program in North America
  • Engages and networks with certifying Supplier Diversity organizations and diverse suppliers to establish/ maintain relationships to grow and expand BGIS Supplier Diversity program.
  • Takes actions to contribute to continued increase in Supplier Diversity engagement.
  • In collaboration with team leadership (VP and Directors Strategic Sourcing), helps improve supplier sustainability management.
  • Develops and provides corporate and client account dashboard to facilitate BGIS’s desired outcome to increase spend with spend with Diverse Suppliers; ensures continuous improvement of reporting process.
  • Provides guidance and direction the US team in relation to the Supplier Diversity Program in the US.
  • Writes submissions for sustainable and diverse procurement awards and recognitions.
Service Level Performance Measurement
  • Collaborates with team leadership (VP and Directors Strategic Sourcing) to identify and establish performance metrics, baseline levels and improvement targets.
  • Implements and communicates performance metrics, expectations and requirements to team.
  • Compiles, monitors, measures, analyzes and reports performance results (Strategic Sourcing savings; Strategic Sourcing dashboard, Global dashboard, eHUB data validation).
  • Recommends solutions to remediate performance gaps and resolve business issues.
  • Collaborates with team leadership (VP and Directors Strategic Sourcing) to develop action plans to remediate performance gaps for and resolving business issues.
  • Monitors action plans for progress.
  • Seeks out opportunities for industry recognition awards and submits entries.
SME on Client BD Pursuits and Corporate Initiatives Support
  • Collaborates with team leadership (VP and Directors Strategic Sourcing) to provide the content for the Strategic Sourcing technical responses for new client RFx pursuits.
  • Collaborates with team leadership (VP and Directors Strategic Sourcing) to provide new client transformation Strategic Sourcing support: Client Procurement process manuals and/ or Procurement Plans; presentations and communication.
  • Provides existing Client reporting support - Shared Services Client Reports in support of Client QBR’s.
  • Collaborates with organizers of An Inspired Future® summit event and leads the Supplier Innovation Awards portion of the event (communication and logistics).
Process Improvement & Strategic Initiatives
  • Supports process improvement efforts and participates in the review, development and refinement of business processes.
  • Supports strategic initiatives by conducting value analysis, recommending solutions and developing plans to achieve desired results. Monitors the execution of strategic initiative plans to ensure proper execution and achievement of desired outcomes.
  • Supports innovation initiatives through activities including but not limited to maintaining current awareness of industry trends and practices, conducting analysis, utilizing out-of-box thinking to develop and recommend innovative solutions.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders (FSSC, FMO, P2P) to manage the content and design of the BGIS public website Supplier Portal.
  • Manages Strategic Sourcing content and design of Strategic Sourcing and Vendor Management Team Sites.
  • Supports the Strategic Sourcing leadership team (VP and Directors Strategic Sourcing) with communication requirements; internal BGIS bulletins; suppler communications; team communications; executive / client / team presentations; client / supplier / employee surveys, training material).
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
  • University Degree
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of BGIS and Strategic Sourcing policies, processes and practices. (5+ years Strategic Sourcing environment experience)
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. (5 years demonstrated experience)
  • Expert level business and strategic analytical abilities. (5+ experience of demonstrated analytical knowledge and understanding; strong knowledge of Excel and data management)
  • Exceptional problem solving and solution identification and development abilities.
  • Exceptional organizational, multi-tasking abilities.
  • Expert level ability to influence and persuade without authority.
  • Expert ability to establish strong partnerships with the client representatives at the senior management to executive management level.
