Click Here: The Gibson WayThe goal of our Summer Student Program is to develop the leaders of tomorrow by providing meaningful work experiences that allow students to gain valuable industry knowledge from all levels of the organization. The Students will have the opportunity to grow their professional network, give back to the community, and gain real world skills that will enhance their knowledge applicable to their studies.InterestedThe Summer Student Marketing Analyst supports the Logistics, Commercial Services, Commercial Development and Marketing teams with Data Entry, Analytics and Administrative tasks. The student will gain exposure to the analytics, movement and marketing of Crude Oil, Refined Products and NGLs within the Gibson Asset base and Western Canada and the US.What Youll Be Doing

• Enters bols and truck tickets for the Commercial Services Team.
• Updates and maintains cross-border shipment data.
• Updates and maintains historical volumetric data for Logistics Team.
• Supports the Marketing Administration Role with storing and recording documents in manner that follows the GEIP Information Management initiative.
• Assists the Analytics’ Team with adhoc reports and duties.
• Supports the Marketing Analytics Team by Assembling trade performance for Profit/Loss Estimates.
• Supports the Commercial Development team with adhoc reports and duties.
• Supports the Logistics Team with adhoc reports and duties.
• Tracks pricing on various commodities and transportation methods.
• Assists Analytics in reporting Supply & Demand forecasts for North American Crude, Refined Products and NGL markets by assessing production forecasts, refinery/pipeline maintenance schedules, rail movements, and any other factors that drive Supply & Demand balance.
• Assists Analytics in tracking global refinery margins on various crude grades.
• Coordinates with Traders, Logistics and Analytics to determine arbitrage opportunities.
• Demonstrates a personal commitment and proactive approach to Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) through participation in all applicable EH&S programs and ensures safe operation of the branch, team or unit and compliance with all Company EH&S policies and procedures.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

What Youll Bring

• 1st or 2nd Year Enrolled in University/College Program.
• Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Able to work in high pace, quickly changing environment.
• Self-motivated and takes initiative.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Working Conditions

• Most of the work is performed in an office environment.
• Gibson has a hybrid work environment for Calgary-based employees (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday we work from the Calgary Head Office). On Monday and Friday, work can be done remotely.
