Worker Type: EmployeeGroup: SCM Corporate Operations DepartmentJob Post End Date: 05/02/2023About this opportunity:The Advisor, SCM Corporate Operations is responsible for end-to-end Category Management of the Field Accommodations Corporate Operations portfolio, creating the category strategy and executing strategic sourcing initiatives within the Field Accommodations portfolio. Activities include strategy development and implementation for respective categories, executing and implementing sourcing initiatives and activities, and demand/ supply plan development, with a focus on continuously improving the value of the portfolio and creating innovating strategies to further drive value for key stakeholders.This is an office position based at our office in downtown Calgary, Alberta. Responsibilities:
  • Develop annual & long-term strategic planning and budgeting to secure supply of goods and services, for a defined portfolio, across the enterprise and managing the associated price and/or supply risks;
  • Ensure Cenovus is conducting business with financially viable, technically qualified suppliers, who operate within their expertise, and have a proven safety record
  • Conduct the sourcing and contracting of external goods and services in an efficient, effective manner that brings the maximum value for the organization;
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams ensuring approved buying, receiving and transportation channels are leveraged to maximize efficiencies within the supply chain and ensure the goods and/or services are available for business functions consumption;
  • Provide operational continuity for the management of materials throughout the enterprise;
  • Ensure data and information created is maintained, accurate and accessible;
  • Ensure compliance to Supply Chain Business Rules, approved SCM channels, the Cenovus Code of Business Conduct & Ethics, company policies, standards, processes and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
  • Must be willing to work in the office in downtown Calgary
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Minimum of 4+ years of progressive strategic sourcing and procurement experience, preference for history of progressively senior roles
  • Post-Secondary Degree in Business Administration or equivalent
  • Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) designation is considered an asset
  • Progressive experience in many aspects of Corporate Operations and Upstream Well Delivery with experience in implementing alternate contracting models, low-cost country sourcing and advanced sourcing levers value creation activities
  • Demonstrated experience leading high-performance teams; managing both individual and team performance
  • Demonstrated strong negotiation skills for complex internal and external application.
  • Sourcing expertise with planning, assessing and implementing outsourcing and multi-sourcing delivery models
  • Category management and management of cross-functional category teams
  • Enterprise-wide, strategic thinker
  • Strong analytical skills; able to solve problems through honest analysis coupled with good judgment; initiative and decision-making abilities
  • Excellent presentation skills; able to speak and write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and with different levels of stakeholders
