The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for providing leadership and direction to the procurement team, as well as acting as a single point of contact for client engagement in the business.Where We Work and Live:This position will be based in Calgary, AB and the successful candidate can choose to work from their home office, ATCO head office or a hybrid of both.Responsibilities:Provides business coaching, mentoring, continuous improvement guidelines, performance reviews, and distribute a balanced workload to direct reports.Identifies and forecasts critical path items for business lines, understands and gathers information on demand forecast of goods and/or services.Provides training and education to business lines on procurement policies and procedures.Collaborates with the ATCO procurement team and business line personnel, continuously seeks opportunities to increase satisfaction and deepen business customer relationships.Identifies continuous business improvement opportunities with current processes and/or procedures.Proactively generates cost savings through supplier negotiation of existing contracts and competitive bids.Assesses business needs and engages Global / Strategic Sourcing when Master Service Agreements are required.Understands market trends to mitigate potential risks.Communicates efficiently to resolve issues with vendors, all internal and external clients.Measures supplier performance against key performance indicators and identify opportunities for improvement.Ensures all procurement activities are in line with corporate procurement policies, procedures and the laws of competitive bidding. strictly follows the ATCO Code of Ethics and engages others to follow.Completes vendor plant visits and inspections when required.Drives and develops Procurement policies, procedures, processes and strategy.Also conducts day to day procurement and supply chain support to reinforce the current team.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:The successful candidate should hold a university degree or diploma in a related field (Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics).Preference will be given to candidates who hold their SCMP (or similar) designation.7 to 10 years prior Supply Chain experience in a similar industry is required.Demonstrated experience leading a team.Must possess knowledge of equipment and materials common in the camp services and FM industry.In depth understanding of Procurement and Contract law, business methods, and market trends.Experience in project buying and scheduling.Demonstrated communication skills, written and verbal.Strong analytical skills.Excellent negotiation skills and problem-solving ability.Oracle or similar ERP system experience would be an asset.Proficient in MS Office software, particularly in Excel.We would like to thank everyone for their application; however, only those being considered for an interview will be contacted.Final candidates will be required to undergo a Security Clearance Check.Our company recognizes the benefits of a diverse and inclusive workforce and is committed to providing employment opportunities for people with disabilities.
