Job Description

In this role you will interface clients and staff (program and project managers) to set up, manage and report on reclamation and restorations activities related to upstream and mid-stream oil gas and facilities and regulatory requirements. Reporting to the Manager, Reclamation and Remediation, the Team Lead will develop and maintain positive client relationship focused on providing top quality service in a variety of environmental programs.You will bring more than 8+ years of relevant environmental consulting experience in the Oil and Gas sector. The selected candidate will have a technical Diploma or University Degree in environmental science or related discipline. You also must possess or be eligible for professional designation (P.Ag, P.Bio, RPF, etc.).This is a permanent position which can be based in the following based on candidate preference: Calgary, Sherwood Park, Lloydminster, Swift Current.What would you be doing

  • Overall management of client environmental portfolios
  • Managing program and project managers and mentoring/training of junior staff
  • Coordinating and providing technical guidance for reclamation and restoration programs including small- and large-scale surface reclamation, Schedule B/Detailed Site Assessments, and vegetation management (weed spraying).
  • Business development and marketing with current or new client relationships to grow and expand the environmental services business line
  • Cost tracking, reporting and technical review
  • Implement corporate and client safety programs
  • Ensure that project requirements are met in a timely and effective manner
Does this sound like you
  • Excellent vegetation identification and soil characterization skills
  • Experience in reclamation and restoration of various land uses (Agricultural, Grasslands, Forested)
  • Experience in detailed site assessments of various land uses (Agricultural, Tame Pasture, Peatland)
  • Reclamation and detailed site assessment experience in native prairie setting is considered a excellent skillset for potential candidate
  • Proficiency in planning and control of work in a multi-project deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with team members from a variety of diverse backgrounds
  • Able to prioritize work, multi-task and adapt to changing priorities in a fast paced, high volume team environment
  • Proactive approach to problem solving with a strong ability to take initiative
  • Must have excellent ability to influence and communicate
  • Must have proven established client relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to strengthen relationships across various organizational business units
