Job Description

The Role: Technical Product SpecialistThe Location: Calgary, Alberta CanadaThe Team: The Data Delivery and Innovation team focuses on the current and future state of Cloud, APIs, Data integration and Virtualization, On-premises content delivery, and spatial strategy. The team has a blend of technical and business expertise along with a set of product managers that enables the members collectively to focus, simplify and execute globally on data delivery, innovation, product and services, goals, and strategies.The Impact: As a Technical Product Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the Upstream Content On Premise Systems, Cloud technologies, APIs, and service products in the North America Upstream Energy Content product portfolio.This position will support driving profitable revenue growth of data product(s) through extensive understanding of market needs and requirements to solve customer problems.The Technical Product Specialist supports the product lifecycle and is responsible for the assisting with product strategy, vision, and technology roadmaps.What’s in it for you:This position offers a protentional for growth in the companyOpen for an extra learning experience for technical growthOpportunity for collaboration across teams and sharing domain knowledgeAmazing teams and an incredible company culture to be a part of.Responsibilities:Subject Matter Expert in Upstream Content APIs, samples, tools providing the market requirements for our data delivery services and supporting applications.Interacts with members of product development, sales, customer care support, and directly with customers to provide and resolve any issues that may arise.Coordinates with other Energy product teams to exploit synergies and opportunities to share technologies and/or integration of products including integration of APIs under the brand of Direct Connect.Participates in customer focus / advisory and or user groupsDevelopment of data driven dashboards and analytics with a focus on GIS.What We’re Looking For:University degree (or equivalent experience) in Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Geoscience, or other related designation.Experience working in a technical or customer support role.Proficient SQL/T-SQL and databases, Microsoft SQL Server experience is an asset.Must be able to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel.Grade/Level ( relevant for internal applicants only ): 9About Company Statement:S&P Global delivers essential intelligence that powers decision making.
