Job Description

Our strong entrepreneurial spirit, together with a culture of empowerment, quality and innovation create opportunities to grow and succeed in an organization with a proud heritage and bright future.ProfileAct as the primary point of contact in providing comprehensive and in-depth technical services for the operators of the Canadair CL-215, 215T, 415, 415EAF, 415AUP and 515 Fleet. Providing technical assistance to accident investigation Bureaus. Providing in depth operational & technical insight to CAW, Quality Control, and Certification Engineering. Collaborate with the Manager Technical Services in issues regarding obsolescence and in developing and implementing revenue growth programs.Duties & ResponsibilitiesTechnical Support & STC’s:

  • Act as the primary point of contact in promptly processing and fulfilling on a priority basis customers’, operator, maintainers and Viking staff requests for technical support and STC’s.
  • Perform critical assessment of safety Provision of world class integration support for the CL Canadair 215/215T/415 models including warranty services; implementation and support for maintenance compliance programs.
  • Quotation and order management of STC’s.
Engineering, QC Support & CAW:
  • Recording, vetting and communicating changes for Technical Publications Engineering (includes registering the MCR ECN).
  • Provide support to engineering supporting the effective execution of repair design activities.
  • Review Service Bulletins, Technical Bulletins, and other technical documents for completeness and accuracy.
  • Prepare CSILs, CSL, and other technical documents for engineering review and approval.
Commercial Process Support:
  • Register and coordinate the request and delivery of engineering/technical support services such as REOs, CSILs, and requests for technical data.
  • Logging of the request, establishing estimate or quote, and closing of the action triggering the invoice process
Warranty Support:
  • Provide inputs to assist the assessment of warranty claims.
  • Perform regular reviews of warranty claims to identify potential CAW issues, and report accordingly.
Obsolescence & Revenue:
  • In collaboration with the Manager, Canadair Customer Service, identify current or pending obsolete / out of production part issues, and contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to mitigate.
  • Work with the Manager, Canadair Customer Service to identify, develop, implement and adhere to revenue growth programs.
R2E / Continual Improvement:
  • Actively participate in R2E program.
  • Assist in the development of standard work for all technical support activities.
  • Provide training to new hire / junior staff members.
  • Understand metrics that measure key performance parameters.
  • Strive to achieve world class levels of customer service in every interaction our clients have with the company.
Education and Professional Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in a relevant technical field (Aircraft Maintenance)
  • AME "M" license
Experience & Skills
  • Minimum 10 years of civil aircraft maintenance experience
  • Experience with engineering, supply chain, customer service and aircraft manufacturing processes and methods
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Read and interpret technical drawings
  • Ability to learn and share knowledge
  • International travel required
