Job Description

Big Loop Construction is looking for a quality Telehandler/ Zoom Boom Operator to join their crew in Calgary. Big Loop is a growing construction company with multiple projects underway.This is a full-time position with excellent opportunities for growth. We offer competitive wages and benefits.Position Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Handle and distribute construction materials, load and unload vehicles with supplies, move tools; remove rubble and other debris
  • Provide support for other trades as required
  • Ensure a safe working environment
  • Operate equipment safely as not to cause damage to the equipment or any surrounding structures
  • Complete daily maintenance and safety inspections of equipment
  • Maintain pre-trip inspections/activity logs and report any maintenance or safety concerns
  • Ensure effective communication on progress and any potential issues are brought to the attention of the crew
  • Ensure equipment is fueled, cleaned, and packaged with attachments at the end of each shift
  • Other duties, as required
Required Qualifications
  • Experience of 2 years+ as a Telehandler/ Zoom Boom operator
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Ability to operate other machines is a strong asset
  • Ability to understand and execute oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to take direction and work independently
  • Ability to work full shifts from 7:30-4:00, 5 days a week
  • Ability to work in different weather and terrain
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to lift 30-50lbs as needed
